Terms of Use

Overview

These Terms of Use apply to the Smart Sort website and the Smart Sort iOS app. By using Smart Sort, you agree to use the service lawfully and not to interfere with the site, the app, user accounts, community features, Arena systems, or related infrastructure.

Service Scope

Smart Sort currently includes on-device trash classification together with optional online features such as authentication, Arena, leaderboards, communities, event participation, feedback uploads, and bug reporting. Some features may require a registered account or specific device permissions.

Accounts and Access

The project supports anonymous guest access as well as email and phone-based authentication flows. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or device, and you must not attempt to bypass authentication, impersonate other users, or disrupt Arena, leaderboard, or community systems.

User Submissions

If you submit feedback, bug reports, community content, event information, or other material through Smart Sort, you represent that you have the right to submit that material and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.

Project License

The current project policy states that the project's published materials are made available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).

• You may share and adapt covered project materials.
• You must provide appropriate attribution.
• You must distribute adaptations under the same or a compatible ShareAlike-required basis where the license requires it.
• You may not imply endorsement by Smart Sort or its contributors.

Third-Party Rights

Smart Sort relies on third-party services and components, including Apple platform APIs and Supabase services. Trademarks, third-party code, linked services, and external assets may remain subject to their own licenses or rights. CC BY-SA 4.0 only applies where the project has the right to offer that license.

Permissions and Device Features

Some app features depend on camera, contacts, or location permissions. You may decline optional permissions, but certain features may become unavailable or limited as a result.

No Warranty

The website, app, and project materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the project maintainers are not liable for damages arising from use of the site, the app, online gameplay or community features, or project materials.
